Insurance, Superbills, & Payment
-
-
Currently, we are a private-pay practice. We can provide a superbill that families may submit to their insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
-
We accept zelle, ven-mo, major credit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and other approved electronic payment methods.
For HSA/FSA accounts, we recommend checking with your plan administrator for eligibility.

A superbill is a detailed receipt for the services your child receives at Belly & Mind. It includes the information your insurance company typically needs to process an out-of-network reimbursement request, such as diagnosis codes, procedure (billing) codes, provider information, and the amount you paid.
While we do not bill insurance directly, many families with PPO plans use superbills to seek reimbursement for eligible services.
-
Submitting a superbill is often easier than you might think!
Request a superbill from our office after your appointment.
Complete any claim form your insurance company requires (if applicable).
Submit the superbill and claim form through your insurance company's member portal, mobile app, fax, or mail—whichever method they prefer.
Your insurance company reviews the claim and, if your plan includes out-of-network benefits, may reimburse you directly according to your policy.
Because every insurance plan is different, we recommend contacting your insurance provider before your first visit to understand your out-of-network benefits and reimbursement process.

It is important for you to understand the extent of your coverage through your insurance carrier. Consider exploring the following questions with your provider:
What is needed to begin services with an out-of-network provider? Do I need a referral or authorization prior to my visits? How often?
What screenings/assessments and codes are required to qualify my child for speech therapy?
What are the plan guidelines for out-of-network providers?
Is my plan’s coverage of outpatient speech therapy based upon medical necessity? If so, what diagnoses are covered under “medical necessity”?
To what extent will my child's sessions be covered?
Is there an exception process which would allow my child to be seen at an out-of-network provider clinic at the in-network level?
Do I have a deductible?
What is my co-pay or co-insurance percentage?
How many visits do I get per calendar year?
Where can I submit the super bill to receive reimbursement? (Claim offices and policies will vary by company)
